I haven't seen anything posted here on this so I thought I'd pass it along:

Start Time: Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 10:00am
End Time: Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 5:00pm
Location: Polish Veteran's Association (upstairs)
Street: 1134 Kingsway (4 blocks E of Fraser)
City/Town: Vancouver, BC

A weekend of Balboa, challenge and fun with world famous instructors Mickey Fortanasce and Kelly Arsenault!

They have been dancing and teaching together since 2004 and won numerous awards including American Classic Balboa Championship 2008 and International Balboa Championship 2006 and 2007. Over the years Mickey and Kelly have mastered the art of teaching classes that are productive and educational for a wide range of skill levels.

The weekend will consist of 8 progressive classes. At a minimum, you should be able to lead/follow basic, paddles, cross-overs, lollies, and a throwout when dancing Balboa socially. There is no upper skill limit -- there will be plenty of nuance, styling and moves to learn even if you are advanced dancers!

Classes information:
DAY 1.
1. Balboa All Levels: "balboa for everyone! fun with rhythms" (using rhythm and timing to create a more organic style for your basics)

2. Balboa All Levels: "Balboa for Lindy Hoppers": (Using your knowledge of Lindy to enhance your Bal-Swing Dancing 'Skillz' as well as helping those new to the dance from a lindy background find faster ways to understand and adapt on the dance floor)

3. "Sweet transitions" (breaking away from typical bal-swing patterns and creating exciting ways to move through the dance)

4. "Turn style and technique" (tips for leaders and followers to pull off successful turns and spins. also adding texture and style to your turns)

DAY 2.
5. "Our Bal-Swing Shall Blot out the Sun" (more new and vintage moves to break out on the dance floor)

6. "Then We Shall Bal in the Shade" (Pure Bal footwork and floor craft)

7. "Madness? This is Balboa!" (Breaking from of the norm. Finding ways to explore your dancing.)

8. "killin it!" (dancing balboa fast... how to do it and how to make it look good)

Classes 7 and 8 are targeted towards advanced dancers and those who would like to be seriously challenged!

Pricing:
FULL WORKSHOP:
$100 before April 30th
$120 before June 4th

I'm very much looking forward to this and looking for a ride up there if anyone from the area is looking to drive.
